Jeffrey D. Krauss
Chairman
Jeffrey D. Krauss serves as Chairman of the Board and has over 40 years of experience in the financial service industry. Prior to forming Kaplan, Krauss & Levine, he was the principle owner of one of New York’s largest insurance agencies which he sold to a publicly traded corporation. He also served as a Senior Vice President of an Insurance Company.
Mr. Krauss is a graduate of New York University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. After graduation, he studied law at New York Law School. During his professional career he has obtained numerous degrees and designations including:
- Accredited Estate Planner (AEP)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Registered Health Underwriter (RHU)
Having spent his entire career in insurance and financial planning, he is widely recognized for his experience in sophisticated Estate, Insurance Planning and Corporate Benefit Planning.
Mr. Krauss has lectured nationally before numerous insurance, civic, charitable and financial planning and Health Care organizations on such diverse topics as Estate Planning, Life Insurance Taxation, Charitable Planning and Corporate Benefit Planning. His articles have appeared in a number of Professional Journals and his views have been reported in the New York Times, The National Underwriter and the Congressional Federal Register.
He has been on the Board of Directors of both the New York and Palm Beach County Society of Financial Service Professionals. He was President of the New York organization. Other Board Positions held include The New York Centre for Financial Studies, and Addison Reserve Country Club.
Mr. Krauss has received numerous insurance awards and served on the advisory Boards of 10 different insurance companies. He is a past recipient of The Torch of Liberty Award and the Israel Medal of Peace. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Anti-Defamation League and State of Israel Bonds. He has been listed in “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry” as well as “Who’s Who in America”.
Mr. Krauss and his wife reside in Palm Beach County .
